A pair of vintage Italian classical figures depicting David and the Venus de Milo, each finely modelled in white alabaster composition and raised on a substantial square marble plinth. Both figures are signed G. Carusi.
Produced in Italy during the mid to late 20th century, the figures reproduce two of the best-known works of the Western sculptural canon: Michelangelo’s David and the ancient Greek Venus de Milo. Their restrained monochromatic finish and genuine marble bases give the pair a particularly convincing decorative presence at this smaller scale.
In good vintage condition, with minor surface wear consistent with age.
