Éditeur is a curated collection of fine antique and bespoke furniture for the modern Australian home.
More than a traditional antiques dealer, Éditeur is conceived as a decorator’s store — a considered selection of furniture, objects and art chosen simply because they are beautiful. Each piece is intended to bring character, craftsmanship and quiet elegance into contemporary interiors.
At Éditeur you will find exquisite antique furniture sourced from around the world alongside high-quality bespoke pieces in classical tastes. These are objects with integrity — carefully selected, thoughtfully restored and made to last.
The collection spans a range of styles and periods, though we have a particular affinity for the Neoclassical and Biedermeier traditions. Their clean lines, refined proportions and natural wood finishes sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Our collection is presented online and available for delivery Australia-wide through trusted couriers, with local collection available from Teneriffe, Brisbane.

Some damage to the top including two ring marks and a large but subtle crack in the veneer. Given the rich patina of the flame mahogany and otherwise excellent condition of the French polish, these imperfections have not been repaired and are easily hidden by decorative articles.
Key is present but locks are in non-function condition.

Dimensions: 97cm wide, 48cm deep, and 85cm tall.
Fine antique furniture
We source antiques both locally and internationally, using techniques employed by archaeologists and historians to identify, date and assess our acquisitions. Digital scanning and AI-assisted analysis help verify authenticity and ensure the integrity of each piece.
Every item is carefully inspected for wear and damage. Where necessary, pieces are restored in-house to address imperfections while preserving their original character.
The result is furniture with genuine history and a distinctive patina — ready to be lived with and appreciated for another hundred years.
Timeless designs adapted for modern living
While antique furniture brings timeless elegance to a space, it does not always align perfectly with the realities of modern living.
Antique beds rarely fit modern mattress sizes. Finding matching bedside tables or dining chairs can be difficult. Larger pieces, designed for grander homes of another era, can also present practical challenges.
To address this, Éditeur offers a small collection of bespoke, made-to-order pieces inspired by Neoclassical and Biedermeier design. These are handcrafted from solid mahogany using traditional methods, allowing timeless forms to be adapted for contemporary homes while retaining the integrity and craftsmanship of the originals.
