A handsome William & Mary walnut chest of drawers, dating to the late seventeenth or very early eighteenth century.
The crossbanded rectangular top above two short and three graduated long drawers, with figured walnut fronts framed by crossbanding and fitted with decorative brass escutcheons and pendant handles, the moulded carcass upon later bun feet.
Of particularly attractive colour and patina, with richly figured walnut throughout and pleasing proportions characteristic of the period.
In good antique condition, with expected wear, marks, veneer movement and historic repairs commensurate with considerable age.
